“PIPPI BEACH DUNES” by Chris Boughen captures the quiet beauty of a sunlit coastal landscape where soft white dunes native grasses and gentle waves meet beneath a luminous blue sky. Delicate watercolour washes evoke the warmth, light and peaceful atmosphere of this much-loved Stradbroke Island shoreline, inviting the viewer to linger in the tranquility of the coast. The painting measures 150 x 240mm and is framed with Mat board and under glass. Including the frame it is 260 x 350mm. Chris’s work has been exhibited in local shows and Floressence, the Annual art exhibition of the Botanical Artists’ Society of QLD. In 2015 Chris received an Emerging Artist Award and in 2018 an Honorary Mention at the Daphne Young Watercolour Art Exhibition in Armidale.
