Chris Boughen’s delicate watercolour “SHELL COLLECTION 2” captures a curated collection of seaside treasures, each shell rendered with luminous precision. Chris’s fine detailing brings out the intricate textures and natural patterns of each shell. This still life meditation celebrates the serenity found in nature’s small wonders. Chris achieves a depth of colour rarely seen in Watercolour. The painting measures 280 x 340mm and is framed with Mat board and under glass. Including the frame it is 400 x 460mm. Chris’s work has been exhibited in local shows and Floressence, the Annual art exhibition of the Botanical Artists’ Society of QLD. In 2015 Chris received an Emerging Artist Award and in 2018 an Honorary Mention at the Daphne Young Watercolour Art Exhibition in Armidale.
