Chris Boughen’s vibrant watercolour “Cucumbers 4½” captures a cluster of exotic cucumbers in vivid greens and oranges against a soft backdrop of cool purples and blues. This work celebrates colour, texture and the quiet delight found in observing nature’s more curious creations. Chris achieves a depth of colour rarely seen in Watercolour. The painting measures 260 x 415mm and is framed with Mat board and under glass. Including the frame it is 380 x 540mm. Chris’s work has been exhibited in local shows and Floressence, the Annual art exhibition of the Botanical Artists’ Society of QLD. In 2015 Chris received an Emerging Artist Award and in 2018 an Honorary Mention at the Daphne Young Watercolour Art Exhibition in Armidale.
