



Christine Boughen is a watercolour artist born in 1962 in Brisbane, Queensland, now living in the Crow’s Nest area. She spent her early life in the beachside suburb of Margate and spent many hours on craft and art projects, as art materials were always readily available as was tutorage from her father, an architect who began one of the first architectural rendering businesses in Brisbane. She has various qualifications and work experience in universities and other administration, invigilation, architectural rendering and aged care. Her love of plant life and environment which features in the majority of her artwork, evolved through her geographical studies at University. Her work has been exhibited at a few local shows, galleries and Floressence, the annual art exhibition of the Botanical Artists’ Society of Queensland. In 2015 she received an Emerging Artist Award and in 2018, an Honorary Mention at the Daphne Young Watercolour Art Exhibition in Armidale.
